I’m a regular girl that truly believes in the extraordinary of God - always have and always will.

 

I lived a pretty “normal” life. I followed the steps of what they said it took to be successful - graduated college and got a “good paying job” but still, something was missing.

 

“I have NO idea what I’m doing” were the most vulnerable, truthful, yet transformative words I could have ever uttered. After looking at my previous month’s bank statement with tears in my eyes, I knew something needed to change. I was living paycheck to paycheck, absolutely no savings and not to mention my gut-wrenching 587 credit score (ouch). Like many, I never had the infamous wealth management conversation with my parents, not in church and of course it wasn’t taught in school, but I knew the information had to be somewhere. May of 2014, I literally googled “what the Bible says about money” and my life INSTANTLY changed. I took the principles that I understood and could implement immediately and did just that - implemented them, then educated myself and made a plan for everything else. In less than 2 months, I got a promotion at work with a $12,000 increase for a position that I didn’t even apply for. August 2015, I randomly checked my credit score and saw 704 and cried real tears. But it wasn’t until Dec 2015 after receiving a $20,000 increase for a position that I didn’t apply for (see the pattern - Matt 6:33 seek first the kingdom of God… and all these things will be ADDED to you) that I realized that consistently applying biblical principles to my finances gave me the gift of wealth management, favor and increase. 

 

2018 I was asked to co-facilitate a financial literacy course and you couldn’t have paid me a million dollars to ever think that I would be instrumental in this capacity. From friends randomly asking to help them create budgets, other churches requesting I host a course for their members, to being asked to create and manage a six figure production budget was WILD. I never told anyone what I did, let alone broadcasted it so every phone call/text was completely overwhelming. To be asked was one thing, but then to discover that I loved being able to bring scripture to life for the sake of economic peace and financial advancement for others has been God’s greatest gift to me. Too often have we heard about the 10% in our churches and not nearly enough have we been taught what to do with the 90%.  It’s my heart's desire that every believer experience the same peace, favor and increase that I’ve experienced that comes with knowing God is truly our provider and He’s given us everything necessary to excel, but it’s our responsibility to be faithful over what we have so that He can do His part in making us the rulers over much.
